    QuestionQuestion for others who foster...

I've got a bit of a situation. I've had a foster in-residence for 10 weeks today. This is the longest I've had a foster, prior to this the longest was 6 weeks.

About a month ago, I scheduled a business trip to Massachusetts for the week of June 5-10, figuring she would be long gone by then. Well, we are 2 weeks out & she is still here.

I notified the rescue a few weeks ago that this was coming up & they are trying to find another foster or something for her. Thus far the one inquiry fell through, they thought she sounded like too much for them.

So, what do I do? Do I go ahead and try to make some back up plans or leave it up to the rescue to figure it all out.

Lexi is going to my parents, but my parents have said flat-out, they will not watch 2 dogs.

I'll be in Chicopee, MA. My employer's corporate office is there.

Maybe try and find someone in case the rescue fails to figure something out by then. I would be upset though. The contact person at the rescue can't take the foster for the week you will be gone?

Can the rescue pay for her to be boarded for the week?

Got some goods news, looks like another foster has come through for Miss Ebony. In fact, she'll be moving to CT, an area I will pass through headed to Massachusetts, so I will be dropping her off at the new foster.

Now my only concern is, he sounded a bit aprehensive. From what the rescue tells me, one of his first fosters was a pup who was apparently "feral" & she was a realy handful. I've reassured him that she is just a typical puppy, but we shall see.

I've also told the Rescue that if she turns out to be too much for this family, to just get them to hang through the week. If need be, I will pick her up on my way back to PA the end of the week.
