DefaultChanging feeding schedule = confused dogs!

So, since my golden has been eating so much grass, I decided to try switching my dogs back to 2 meals a day. They've been getting 3, so its smaller meals which I don't think fill them up as much. (I've been such a freak about bloat I just kept feeding them the 3 meals a day). I figured that with the bigger meals my golden wouldn't graze as much and Remy would at least feel full after a meal since he is so voracious. So this week is the first week with no lunch.

Dogs are not happy. Oh sure, they like the larger meals for breakfast and lunch, but they just don't know what to do with themselves when I come home during the day. Remy literally would not leave my side whining and nudging...Sigh....

Get over it little dude...no more lunch.

I just switched Lucy from 3 meals to 2 - something I was really dreading as she so obsessed with food (as almost every lab is!!). The first couple of days she was very confused, but after 3 days she was fine - it actually went much easier than expected. I changed my schedule a little so I wasn't walking into the house right at noon and maybe that made it smoother.

She's 5 and he's 3...so its not the whole puppy switchover...I'm really just seeing if it helps her with the grazing and him with the whiney-I'm-hungry thing all day.

Today was a little better with him. He went outside and got stick.

Brooklyn, not so much. She did move from one side of the couch to the other, but that was it. Maybe when the sun comes out it will be easier to get her outside...
