Has a Christmas card exchange ever been done on JL? A couple other boards that I lurk on do this, and I thought it might be fun. I'd organize it, if there were enough interested in doing this. I am also on a horse forum where they do a secret santa.
Might be fun!

Just a walk in the park....
I would love to participate. I think they used to do it on the old board. I can help organize it but I don't know how it works, haha!
I think we did Secret Santa a couple years ago, but I don't think anyone organized it last year.
We have had both a Christmas card exchange and a Secret Santa exchange. For the cards, someone just needs to let everyone PM or e-mail them with their names, address etc and the person then usually e-mails a list out to everyone and you send cards to everyone on the list (hint - we like the ones with pictures of our dogs on them ) For the Secret Santa, people send names of dogs, address, "likes or dislikes" and allergies, etc. We usually try to match up people who have more than one dog, with others who have more than one. There is usually a price range given, which I think that most people probably go over. Much, much fun!!!
My dogs enjoying their Christmas presents from their Secret Santa!
I didn't participate in exchanges in years past but I think this might be a happy thing for me to do this year. Haha! I even have a new sheet of "Forever Stamps" in my wallet that are ready to paste onto something!

I would be interested in doing this as well. Just starting to get to know everyone and their furkids and would be fun.
I would like to participate. I could also help if I'm told what to do.
We have had very successful card exchanges in the past. I was going to volunteer this evening as a matter of fact, but since you offered... I would do it right away and have the addresses out to the participants by mid November at the latest to ensure timely delivery for those in other countries.
Some tips (even though you didn't ask):
Start a thread inviting folks to join. Have them email their screen name, dog's names and their mailing address to you. You may able to do it through PM, but the inbox can get full rather quickly. You will also need their email addy to send them the list anyway. If you're in the mood, organize the addresses into label format in MS office or something (not necessary, but it was useful and appreciated in the past).
Ask Nate or Ari to sticky it for a few days.
