The while pus-ball (apologies upfront to those reading early in the morning) turned out to be a small cyst; very likely to be unrelated to the initial injury at all.
She expressed the contents and viewed under a microscope. Nothing worrisome.
But he's on an antibiotic, just in case. And she'd like to see him again in 2 wks to re-examine. We're 3xx making sure there's nothing even remotely cancerous about it, which I'm certainly okay with....
