***WARNING------ LOTS OF PICTURES*****
About a year ago Brian and I decided it was time to add another lab to our family. Elias had just turned 4 so we thought it was a perfect time. We decided we wanted another male, yellow this time. We contacted Elias' breeder here in NJ but she didn't have any, or any planned for a while.
Then came Lily's litter from Cinderbay Labs. Kim was torturing all of us here with daily pictures and updates on the litter with the 1 lone yellow boy, Cowboy! He stood out like a sore thumb, not only because of his color, but his size and personality were quite huge
I contacted Kim when the pups were about 3 weeks old and to my delight Cowboy was available! Kim was just wonderful to work with and to this day I consider her a friend. I booked a plane ticket to Detroit Michigan. The intention was for me to fly out there one day, spend the night at Lily's breeders house where Wyatt would be, and then fly back the next day with Wyatt in the plane with me.
Well that plan came to a screaching hault at about 6 1/2 weeks when Kim told me there was no way Wyatt would fit inside the airline approved bag, he couldn't even fit into the larger size!
Here is a picture that I will never forget. Wyatt inside the airline approved bag:
I was so upset that our plan wasn't going to work out, but this picture made me laugh so hard!!!
Well at the last minute I cancelled my flight and booked him on his own flight flying cargo. Kim and I were both nervous but we got through it together with many phone calls!
When I picked up my boy at Newark Airport all my fears were put at ease because the second I took him out of the crate he was as cool as a cucumber.
First night home, Elias already trying to play with him!
