    Defaultpup question

Hello all. Just wanted to see if anyone can help with an issue. I have a choc boy Reese and girl Sam he is 7 months old and training is going great. Have a small issue he seems to be a very private boy when taking a crap he goes in garder in bushes anywhere he cant be seen. Heres the issue when I put him into outdoor run he goes in the dog house most of the time. He never goes in the house or Vari Kennel. Any one ever see this or have an idea of how to stop. Here is a picture of my two pups.

Never had that, but it would freak me out a bit. We've had really nasty stray cats come bursting out of bushes that trim the sidewalks, usually with claws out ready to fight so honestly I tend to give them a wide birth or cross the street. There are so many foxes, skunks, raccoons, etc I worry about Diesel getting attacked & me not being able to react in time cuz I don't see it coming.

If he has ever been scolded or punished (even mildly - some dogs are very sensitive!) for elimination in an inappropriate location, he may now need to move away to feel comfortable, or it may just be a quirk.

Is the dog house the only private place for him to go? If so, move the run to be near some bushes to give him an alternitive place of privacy.

ohhhhh he is so adorable. looks like my lil man.
my dog (also 7 m) likes his privacy too, when pooping. It's actually kinda handy, cuz it means he doesn't poop in front of the door or something. But, yeah - that's definitely an issue if he's pooping IN the dog house.
    agree with mitzi&judi's mom!

I've had dogs do this. My horse used to use the shed as his private toilet too. About all you can do is block off the dog house for awhile which will force him to poop out in the open. Otherwise his modesty is going to tell him to keep going into the dog house.
