I couldn't help but post this ad I saw on Kijiji (like Craigslist) this morning.
"I Have a handsome chocolate male golden doodle for stud. He is 100% proven to produce some very beautiful pups. He has had 3 littlers already in Ontario, we just moved here 3 moths ago I do have pics of him and his puppies and I also keep in touch with one of the couples that we have had litters with before. We also own his mother . . . ."
How the h*ll do you have a chocolate golden????
Sounds like they want to bread their chocolate golden, wonder if they are turkey herders too?
Fashion mutts come in all color varieties... you can get the color you need to match your favorite purse and pair of shoes you can even get them in pink or fluorescent green
No seriously, poodles come in a large variety of colors: black, silver, chocolate, appricot, white, and some of them even have black spots...
goldendoodle = golden retriever x poodle, which means it can be gold or any colour that poodles carry. I've seen spotted labradoodles.
But they are saying it is a "chocolate golden" Isn't that like saying it is a "yellow black" lab?
no, two terms: the breed/mix = goldendoodle (which it would be, regardless of colour) and the colour - chocolate. If I crossed a black lab with a golden retriever, I might label it a black golden x lab.. (Or I could just call it a mutt, really, and go down to the pound and adopt one instead. ) Pound Dogs: Labradoodle puppies
You're overthinking this
