DefaultThe dangers of playing with you dog - on the floor...

Couple of days ago I was sitting on the floor, resting against the couch and we were playing gentle tug with Saba’s plush soccer ball. It was a lot of fun, until the stupid human (a.k.a. ME) decided to grab the ball in my right hand and waive it above my head. Mr. Saba obviously assessed the situation, figured jumping for it would not be good as my face was in his way (and I could actually see him taking a moment to think), so what does he do? He placed his left front paw on my right… BOOB and catapulted himself up to get the ball. Yes. All 85 LBS of him. On. My. Right. Boob. There was a strange sound I heard which came out of my mouth apparently, Saba grabbed the ball and hid under the table and I was rolling on the floor in pain. Good grief, was it ever painful. Forward 2 days ahead - I noticed this morning a greyish-greenish paw size bruise appearing. Guess that thought me a lesson not to waive a ball above my head…

YOW! What were you thinking, playing on the floor with your dog?!

I do remember that Angus was well over a year old before I ever got on the floor with him. Way too dangerous! LOL

I feel your pain. Abbey and Coco have both put their "mark" on me while playing. It happens so quickly - you just don't have time to react. DH has had similiar experienced playing with both girls. They are only 67 and 75 lbs but that is a lot of weight on "sensitive" areas! As Lisa said above.... live and learn.
