    DefaultBitey face With Smaller Dogs

SeeingLabby's video of the bitey face reminded me of something I saw a few weeks ago. A friend of mine who has a little poodle was keeping a friend of hers minature greyhound. At least it looked like a greyhound and that is what she called it. Anyway, after seeing Tal and Barney playing bitey face and being used to hearing larger dogs growl and carry on, it was almost comical watching these two small dogs play bitey face! I wish I had a video of it cause it was really funny!

its even funnier to watch a tiny dog and a medium dog play bitey face - Sally and Thea get right into it sometimes - quite silly

LOL!! I don't think I've seen little dogs play bitey face.

What is interesting is that there is a GSD and a very small JRT at the beach that play bitey face, and the GSD is rather gentle. But put the GSD w/Zoe and she is a wild dog!

Same for Zoe...she can give a larger dog a run for the money, but if with a smaller toy size breed, she is very gentle. what gives?

It DOES look stupid! Jo & Ronnie did it since Ronnie was a pup. Always ended up with Ronnie on his back with Jo smothering him.

    About 10 years later ..............

I think the larger dog learns very quickly that the game ends if they get too rough
Thea plays HARD with dogs - she will literally hang off their faces but they are all gentle with her .. as if she gets treated roughly she SHRIEKS and stalks off .. ending the fun ...
The pics of Jo and Ronnie are adorable

I have never seen small dogs play bitey face. Loved the pics. You are right, Guy. Watching the girls interact & play is better than tv.

    BJ gets down to "beaglesized"

    Boomer is an ankle biter

Third dog into the fray usually goes after Boomer rather than BJ - my friend's theory is they are trying to calm him down - it's hard to tell
