DefaultAnyone Else have a "Meals on Wheels" program for pet dogs and cats

Just got my reminder that this weekend is my AniMeals on Wheels delivery. For the past two years I have been delivering dog and cat food to the elderly who participate in the Meals on Wheels program.
The program was started when it was noticed that frequently the elderly were feeding their own food to their pets near the end of the month when their money would run short.
The program here is operated by Interfaith Ministries. I deliver a trunk load of food to eleven homes on my route.
If you would like more info on this program let me know.

Neat idea. Good for you and your group.

PS side note. Some give up their dogs because they .......... whatever.
Others give up their own food to feed the dog.

I think I like the latter group better.

We don't have anything like that here. How cool is that.

great idea- we used to have a food bank run out of a church for pets .. and another from a HS ... as far as I know there is no animeals wheels program here (the 5th largest city in North america)
I'm going to do some asking around

Our Dog Training Club does this locally. We have several pet food stores that donate quite a bit of food for the cause.

We have a local "Meals on Wheels" program -- I'll check to see if "animeals" are included. Your "MoW" has a great idea.
