    QuestionFlea bite...

How long can a dog itch from a single flea bite? I think my pup is one of those dogs who is very sensitive to a flea bite and the saliva. He was treated with Frontline Plus but I don't think it worked. I've now started him on Advantix.

check out the area of the fleabite if its red, then you might want to take a trip to the vet.some dogs have an allergic reaction to being bitten.

Dogs can get more irritation from flea allergy than the fleas themselves.

Flea treatment will stop it eventually but I have known it to last for weeks.

Since getting rid of all of my carpets I haven't seen more than a couple of fleas, and I have three cats as well !

Mine all have Frontline, but still pick up fleas whenever they go out. The Vet said it's a very bad year for fleas. The fleas you see are the ones Frontline hasn't had time to work on yet. Comfortis kills them faster but I haven't tried it. Some dogs are allergic to fleas, others, not.

Frontline = flea viagra. It's USELESS. I switched to Advantage but I've heard Advantix is just as good.

You might want to get the vet to look at him & recommend a good flea shampoo.
