    Default7 month old puppy

We have a yellow Lab puppy who has just turned 7 months. He came from a very good breeder and we think he's a great looking dog.

He weighs about 64 pounds - not overweight but very solidly built - we call him a little bull. But he is not all that tall. He's certainly not at a gangly teenager stage.

I'm wondering about growth in height for Labs.

So my question is this : how many months before Labs reach their adult height ?

around 12 to 14 months they reach their full height, but will continue to fill out in other areas until about 18 to 24 months.

You will get lots of answers on this one.
    Height: about 1 year
Width and weight: HE will probably broaden and build muscle for another 6 months after the first year.

Both of my boys filled out until they were almost 3.

What's "not that tall"? Male labs are not supposed to exceed 24 1/2" at the withers. That's basically 2 feet, which to some who are used to behemoth hunting labs, looks very small.

Depending on the lines, he could actually be as tall as he's going to get. My boys reached their height early, but then broadened and put on weight for about a year afterwards.

As I mentioned, he is very thick. He's not a bit overweight but he is still quite short as I see it. I'm just wondering how much his legs are going to grow beyond his 7 months. From the replies so far it would appear that he has some growing to do yet.

Measure him from the floor to his shoulder along his leg. Tell us the numbers.

Nah, stand him up next to a wall and mark the wall where his shoulders are, then measure from floor to mark. Easier than trying to measure the actual dog.
