I just got back from the vets with my 3, nothing wrong, all of them are fit and healthy, though poor Jed was told he had to lose around 5-10lbs, he gets the same amount as the others but I guess like us humans we all process it differently.
Anyhow, 3 check-ups, 3 sets of annual shots and 2 microchips....
£120 !!
I think this is nearly $200 if my maths is correct!
Oh well I don't have any other vices so I may as well spend my hard earned cash on my labs

Yes they are about as costly as kids!!
That seems like a bargain compared to NJ. I spend easily 150- per dog for a checkup. There should be a volume discount don't you think?

Even with the exchange.. $200 for three dogs is cheap! Does that include rabies?
kelli, tucker and koda
No kidding! You should have seen my vets bills when I had 8 of them.Having multiple dogs is not cheap!!
I took my 2 in last week. After Sarah's scare with Milly, I got them chipped ($90 for both), 2 tubes of eye ointment for Ronnie @ $19, 1X9 KG bag of dog food @ $59.95 & $11 "dispensing fee". Grand total: $179.95
I guess I can't moan. I don't drink, smoke or gamble so I have to do SOMETHING with my money & what better than to blow it on my dogs?
That's not bad! We went in for a check up on Ruby's ear after her $2000 surgery in August and it was $350...just for a check, did nothing! She has to have a hearing test, I wonder how much that will cost.

Man, you got robbed! My vet doesn't charge extra for post op check ups. It's all included in the original price. When I took Ronnie back a week after having 10 teeth pulled out, it cost me nothing although I guess you could say I'd already paid in advance. It was still a hell of a lot cheaper than $350 though.
Java had a urinary tract infection that wasn't clearing, so last Friday she went in for some tests...ultrasound, cysto, urinalysis...etc to try to figure out what was going on. $467 later we found out she has an inverted vulva with surgery recommended. Surgery cost-$734-$1000. Yay!!!
Now we also have Moka at home who because she is from teh same lines may have the same thing......multiple dogs are expensive, but $200 seems cheap. I paid $200 just for an appointment 2 weeks ago for 1 dog to treat a UTI.
$200 does seem cheap. A lot of money still, but cheap for all you got.
