qualified for the amateur finals where he placed second.
His best jump was 15' 5" so congratulations to HarveysMum for guessing closest.
Duke, as expected, loved the big crowds and walking around the fairgrounds between events. On Sunday he donned a donation vest to raise funds for canine cancer research. In one trip pass the bleachers and through the fair Duke raised $61.00. At one point he stopped and shook and sent money flying but we gathered it all up.
I believe the funniest aspect of the whole weekend was Duke's dislike of cows and horses. For some unknown reason he really sets off when we are driving in the car and he spots a horse or cow in a pasture.
Well the DockDog facility was located right at the entrance to the livestock barn and I knew better that to even allow Duke to get a peek inside. However right at the entrance was this statue and every time we lined up to jump Duke would see it and start barking furiously with every hair on his back standing up. Everybody thought it was a hoot.
Here is a photo of that dreaded evil cow.
