.....I had to let my Annie go. I just recently posted her story in another thread because someone asked me about my forum handle. Snowflake was her knickname. That's her in my avatar.
Anyway, she was only 11 months old and truly my best friend in the world. God, I loved that dog!!!
If anyone cares to read it, here's Annie's story and also a link to her tribute video.
I love you, Annie, and I think about you every single day, especially when I'm out working and training with Sally. You would have been an awesome retriever and dock diver. But it just wasn't to be.
RIP Annie, my sweet girl.
it is the 3rd heart breaking story am reading on JL in past 10 days! It brings tears to my eyes reading each one of them.
Am sure Snowflake knew you did everything you can.
Oh! am at work now and want to hug my Rambo so tight!
Annie was such a beautiful girl. So heartbreaking. Nancy I just love that picture of the both of you. Showing the love you shared. (((HUGS)))

Annie's story brings tears to my eyes every time I read it. I am so sorry that you lost her so young. RIP Annie.
I'm so sorry, Nancy.
Rest well, sweet Annie.
Ive read her story before it truly is heartbreaking!
Annie was beautiful. I love the picture of the two of you. I was in tears watching the video. It just rips at my heart for you. We have had lots of extremely sad stories on JL these past weeks. It just confirms my belief that we need to love and care for our friends and pets now and not put off telling anyone how much they mean to us. None of us know what is ahead of us.
Sending you hugs on this anniversary and good thoughts knowing that Annie is resting peacefully and waiting for you at the bridge. Run free and strong sweet Annie.
Love JL. Justlabradors.com!!!
Rest in peace beautiful Annie.
I like to picture that over the Rainbow Bridge there is a gaggle of labrador retrievers playing and sharing their own inside jokes - the inside jokes only a lab would understand. Of course they have other friends, but when they gather together it's total fun and chaos and joy.
How heartbreaking that loss must have been for you.
