DefaultCan Lab Puppies Really Be This Smart??

So today is the day I go back to work. It will be Stoli's first day alone after 11 days with us in her new home. So this morning I take her out of her crate bring her outside and she runs back in and sits on my lap. For an hour!! She doesn't want to play or anything.(I eventually got her to run around and tire out a bit) Can she really sense that I am leaving her today???

I hate doing this. Hopefully she gets used to it as fast as she did with night time crating. (3 days)

Yes, they can really be that smart. You will be amazed by how they know what is going on.

My Lexi senses I am getting ready to go on a trip before I even get the luggage out to pack. She becomes a velcro-dog (that is a technical JL term) & follows me everywhere.

She'll be fine while you are at work.

    My pretty girl, Lexi!

    Yes!

Did you give her something to keep her occupied for a bit? Kong, nylabone, etc....

I covered the crate with a blanket(she seems to like that) put a bunch of toys (nylabones, kongs w/ treats, etc.) Also put the radio on in the background.
