Yes! Thanks for asking. This morning I took him out and he was still straining and not doing much. He just ate a little breakfast , so I wasn't real happy - but then went down to the basement to feed the kitties, and found a LARGE amount of stool (thank god he went to the basement), some loose and a fairly large amount of formed soft stool. Eureka! After cleaning up that mess, SU and I went back to bed to catch a little more shuteye. SU got up before me, and when I got up and looked out the window, I could see him out with the dogs. And I swear, I could tell the Skippy was feeling MUCH BETTER just by looking at how he was walking - tail wagging, face smiling He came in and went to his food bowl and asked "where's my breakfast?" so I gave him a whole can of food and he goobled it down. He still strains when he goes out, and I can fell a loop of firmness in his belly, very near his groin, which is painful when I palpate it, so I think he still has something stuck in there, but is able to pass normal stool around it. Unless he stops straining and I can't feel that anymore, I'll take him to the vet tomorrow for another x-ray - but he is SO MUCH BETTER!!!!! OH - and now Emilu wants to play with him - so he MUST be better!

WOOHOO for the POO! I am happy to hear this! I think it is amazing how Emilu knows how to act around him when he's not feeling well, that is a perceptive pooch!

That's very good news that he has passed some stool! I hope he continues to eat and pass stool and whatever he's got going on goes away

I bet it is the first time you were happy to have him poop in the house wasn't it?

Glad things are passing through...it is probably just a matter of time before all of it works it way out now.

Continued prayers and good thoughts for Skippy, that he passes whatever is in there holding things up.

Yippeeeee! This sounds like great news Pat! I'm so happy to hear he's wagging again. I bet you were never happier to clean up poop in your life. Did you do a poopy dance?

Pat that is wonderful news!! I can't remember when so many people were actually praying for poop!. I can chuckle now but I was seriously worried that whatever had lodged was not going to budge easily. Your vet will be thrilled too. Poor Skippy - he has to feel better too without that full and pressure feeling in his gut. We are doing the happy "poop" dance with you. Hopefully the rest of the gunk will work its way out now that he feels like eating. Maybe the tail waggling, exercise and playing again will speed things along. We will continue to pray for poop until you tell us to stop.
    Love JL. Justlabradors.com!!!
