Bess spent her first evening at her new home. Below are the highlights and a link to the photos:
She was an angel during the 90 minute car ride.
She does mind the wire open style crate, but does not care for the closed plastic style.
She saw her reflection in the dishwasher and attacked it numerous times.
She sat in her water bowl.
She inhales her food. A cupful disappears in seconds.
She likes to take 6 steps away from me and then charge forward and try to leap onto my lap. She is a jumper.
So far so good in the potty department. She has gone outside a number of times.
She took 10 steps backward as a shelty approached. Once it passed by she tried to charge towards it. A real fighter.
Her favorite toy is the nylabone fish (see pics)
Welcome home Bess. What a sweet face and I love her coloring. It has been forever since Abbey was that small. I understand the chow hound part. Abbey did that too - I was told to mix a little warm water with her food to make kind of a gravy and it would slow her down "a little". We tried it and it worked wonderfully. Nylabones are great. We have several for our girls.
The little black lab pup is cute too. Sweet pictures - keep them coming!!
Love JL. Justlabradors.com!!!
What a pretty, pretty girl! I am looking forward to lots more pictures!!!
Beautiful little girl.
BTW, when I had my Bess, I often used to sing "Bessie May, Bessie May poocho...." (to the tune of "Bésame mucho") and "Bess, you is my puppy now...." to the song from "Porgy & Bess." Just something to do when snuggling.
