DefaultI found some pictures from our summer camping trip

Not too many good ones (I'm a lousy photographer), but a few cute ones of Theo. We took him to Sequoia National Forest for five days of camping and hiking. It was so much fun, and I can't believe that we hadn't done it before.

View from the road near our campsite:

    Hanging out:

"This tent is awesome. It's like a crate, but you guys are in it too!"

Our campsite was on a lake, which allowed for twice-daily swims:

    "Hey, follow me!"

There were still lots of enticing snow patches, even though it was over 80 degrees.

"Ohhh, yeah, that's it, right there."

    "Thanks for the swamp, dad!"

I love that his gorilla went camping with him.

What a great outing for everyone concerned. I loved this:

But of course! We did have a strict "No Gorilla Outside the Tent" rule. Otherwise it would have been a mangy, muddy, saliva-coated mess. As it is it was difficult enough keeping his feet clean before he was allowed in the tent.

Nance, he LOVED the tent. When we were cooking dinner or reading at the campsite, he would walk over to the tent door, poke his nose against it, look back at us, poke the tent, look back at us...until we let him in. And then he'd settle there for the whole evening. He was such a good boy--I expected him to be more antsy.

Neat! We used to go camping when we had Reo (my collie/lab cross). She was not a happy camper - the night sounds (owls and animals moving around outside the tent) really freaked her out and she hardly slept a wink. She LOVED hiking in the daylight though.

Looks like beautiful country! Glad you had a good time.
