    QuestionLeg Tremors

    Anyone else experience this?

Diesel's front leg shakes sometimes. Mostly his right one but I think I may have seen his left one do it once in awhile too. It happens in various positions... when he is standing, sitting, laying down or squatting to pee (yes he still pees like a girl!). No idea what causes it but sometimes I reposition his leg for him, when he's steady enough that this won't cause him to lose his balance of course, and that stops it sometimes. But when it shakes it's almost like nervous leg syndrome or something.

Geez I hope this isn't an early sign of arthritis or something??

Tucker does this, his back legs tremble more and more now. He's 9-1/2. I'm not sure why, but when I mentioned it to my vet on his last visit, he wasn't concerned.

Abbey's front legs do it... especially when she's in a sit waiting for me to throw a toy or give her a treat.

Charlie used to do this when he is sitting and excited...waiting for something to be thrown to retrieve. He grew out of it. I don't know when he stopped, but realized when I was reading your post that I haven't seen him do it in a while.

Thanks for your posts, but Diesel is still just a pup & it's not a time of excitement when it occurs. Of course it never happens when at the vet so they can't say for sure if it's anything to be concerned about.

I've always thought it's just him positioning his leg wrong & the shaking is due to the strain in the wrong position. Unless anyone else has had the same in a young pup who is not shaking in excitement waiting for a treat I guess I'll just chalk it up to that.
