DefaultRude awakening for Saba this morning

We had a very loud thunderstorm in the middle of last night and when that happens, Saba likes to sleep with me. When my alarm went off in the morning, I moved my hand to scratch his belly – morning ritual Unfortunately, since I was still half asleep (as was he), I didn’t realize that he was lying on the very edge of the bed facing me. So when he tried to turn on his back with his paws in the air to get the best of the belly scratch, poor dog flew off the bed.. LOL Thankfully I had a comforter and some pillows on the floor on that side of the bed so the landing wasn’t so hard (he landed on his side). He stood up with this look on his face “what the…?” and went to lie down in the living room. I checked him out to make sure he’s okay, but he seemed to be just fine - it was a soft landing. I couldn’t stop laughing though at the expression on his face when he fell off … what a goof

Awww poor Saba - but I would have been dying laughing if I had witnessed that. Where is a video camera when you need one? Poor guy though!!

Would you believe Bruno fell out of bed last night too. When I went to bed he was sleeping at the other edge and I thought to pull him over a bit, but didn't want to wake him. I guess he rolled over in his sleep and we woke up with the sound of the fall. (No comforter to soften the fall) He too was OK, jumped back in bed and snuggled up to me for the rest of the night.
Bruno sends Saba his sympathy and knows how it is to be laughed at for being a klutz.

Haha .. very funny. Aila did that too awhile back - except it was in the middle of the night and I heard this loud crash and it was Aila who fell off the bed, hit the dresser and then continued to sleep on the floor where she fell ... I don't think the fall even woke her up!

I can just picture it. Glad it was a soft landing.
