So since Monday, I've been thinking to myself, I just don't understand how my emaciated 60lb Labrador could eat 13.5kg of food and still move around'. I can barely lift the bag, and yet here he was.
If you recall the story, my sister was babysitting and upon my arrival took the dog food out of the cupboard and then walked the kids to the bus. Came in 20 minutes to find Rhys looking like he had swallowed two watermelons.
I just don't get where ALL that food went. I know Ruby hadn't touched it.
Got a phone call this morning from my sister. She found a mountain of food. Apparently in his haste to eat as much as possible, he knocked the bag over and it poured behind the love seat.
About half the bag. So that means Private OnTheShitList only ate half a bag. Thats so much better.
Did I mention he ate a cinema sized box of Jr Mints yesterday? This one was my fault. But he's never stolen this frequently before.
I've gone ahead and made an appointment to have his levels checked on Monday, something is a bit off, as he's STARVING all the time. We did this about a year and a half ago, right before I switched him to raw. But I'm thinking maybe now its something neurological.

He is sneaky! That was his stash for later.
Hah! What a brat. I'm glad he only ate HALF a bag, though.
lol, he probably stole the mints to shift the indigestion caused by eating half a bag of food!
I hope it is just instincts telling him to put on weight for the winter, and that nothing else is wrong.
Hope all the tests come back fine
I'm glad he didn't eat as much as you thought, and I'm glad your sister discovered the rest of the food before some rodents did. Good thoughts and prayers for good test results. Can't blame him for the Junior Mints . . . they're yummy! I wish I had a cinema size box right now.
