Labs DO NOT need baths. Frankie is 4 and has never had one.

No, no, no worries! He'll be fine. Labs have a double coat and natural oils in their skin to keep their coat the way it should be. Bathing will ruin that. Our Tucker is 8 and my husband used to bathe him all the time when he was little. He no longer has that typical lab coat.

When he (she?) gets really dirty you can always just rinse the puppy off with clean water. This way you still keep the natural oils in the skin. And if the pup rolls in something really stinky then make sure you use a dog shampoo only, not human soap or shampoo. Other than that, no need to bathe them.
