Defaultand this is why I never leave him ALONE!

For two years Rhys has not been alone. Not only is he not feeling 100% but he's just really really bad.

So I went away for the weekend. Left him at my sister's with her 4 kids. Ruby too, but she's a goody two shoes.

I get home this morning, and I ask what's up with Rhys.

He looks like he's swallowed a watermelon.

Apparently my sister took out Ruby's food from the cupboard when I called her to tell her I was close by, put the kids on the bus, came back in, and there was Rhys. He'd eaten what was left of the 28lb bag of food. That only Ruby had eaten 3 days worth.

I've given him peroxide, and we got about 10lbs of food out of him. And now we're off to the vet. I'm sure he'll pass it all just fine (its not the first time this has happened), I'm not worried about that. But MAN, he's a BAD BAD BAD dog.

I don't know what I'm going to do with him....grrr.

    Oh Rhys! Tsk tsk.

I don't trust Dozer based solely on the fact he is a Labrador. His food is in a container in the pantry ... which is essentially a giant closet with shelves. He can't get to his food. The door has a lock on it so the youngest child cannot open it.

OH. MY. GOSH. I hope no major procedures are necessary to extract the remaining food. Good grief Rhys!! What is wrong with you!!

Rhys and Angus are similar in that they both seem hell-bent on doing things to harm themselves. Isn't it a shame that we can't just leave our dogs with sitters and say, "Feed them at x and x time, and let them out to potty?" and not have to worry about stuff like this? There is such a LONG list of do's and don'ts for Angus and Simon, it would be downright embarrassing to have to go over it with someone.

I am glad he is ok, but man, I would HATE poop patrol for the next 2 weeks! (FWIW, Tucker would have done the same thing if given the opportunity!)
