    and it was a tad defensive - wouldn't say aggressive and with my two bearing down on him I didn't think anything of it.

    THe owner said that he was tetchy because he was a retired Guide dog and wasn't used to playing !

    Wierd ! I would have thought the opposite to tetchy and why would a guide dog not want to play when off duty ?

    Sad if it's true !?

    I've never heard that about guide dogs (in general), I'd wager it may be more of a personality or environmental thing.
