Temperatures finally reasonable enough to take the boys out for some long overdue retrieves today. After about six or seven throws Seamus executed a beautiful leap into the air to snag a high throw and landed... flat on his back! How he managed that I'll never figure out, but he had a lot of trouble getting his back legs under him again.
That ended the session, of course, and he managed to tenderly make his way into the house. He immediately went to his favorite dozing spot and laid down. Smart boy.
He's walking, favoring the rear left leg just a bit, but walking nonetheless.
Scared the life out of me!

Ouch! That's scary. Hope he's alright.
OMG! That kind of thing just makes your heart leap into your throat, doesn't it? Prayers and good thoughts that the handsome boy is fine, just a little sore. Keep an eye on him Nance, and please keep us updated.

OMG poor baby! What a scare. Hope he's ok! And you too.

Yikes! That would have scared the crap out of me, too. Hope he's okay!
Oh my! I hope he is alright!

that would be scary. I hope he doesn't have any lasting effects from it.

I hope Seamus is okay, you might consider giving him a coated aspirin, it might help him relax so that he will rest. I know the feeling of seeing that, Belle has done that a couple times so now we do low throws with balls and frisbee. Hugs to you and a nice glass of wine might be called for.
Love You and keeping all in my thoughts.
That is awful, poor pup. Must have given you quite a fright. I hope he feels better after some rest.
I hope he's OK. We had a similar scare when Abby landed on her chest when trying to catch a Frisbee. It catches your breath.
