I would call your vet before putting any chemicals on a 7 week old puppy.

I would definitely talk to your vet first before putting any type of chemical on a 7 week old puppy. Does your puppy have fleas or do you live in a flea & tick dense area?

The flea and tick products I have used with good results are Advantix and Frontline Plus on my adult dogs.

I would never use any Hartz products or Bio-Spot products. Never.

I would talk to your vet since your puppy is only 7 weeks old. I can't remember when we started the Frontline Plus & Interceptor, I started them when the vet said it was time & everything was weight based when they were young. But I don't think they were quite that young.

I think there is a shampoo you can use, but it is vet prescribed for a pup that young. When I got Belle she had a real bad case of fleas. Personally I would (and did with Belle) spend A LOT of time picking fleas off and killing them. A pup that young is not big, so you should be able to get a grip on them eventually. Good luck! (and once the fleas are in your house, you may need to take additional precautions to get rid of them).

Have your other dogs been given a flea dip and are they on a flea & tick preventative? Thoroughly vacuuming your house and cleaning the areas they sleep (washing any bedding, etc) will reduce the fleas. Adding some Eucalyptus Oil to the wash will help, too. You definitely want to get rid of the nasty buggers- they can cause a lot of discomfort and some very nasty skin issues.

Capstar is apparently safe for puppies

Capstar Flea Control for Dogs and Cats - Medi-VEt

I wouldn't give it, but wouldn't see the need. If a puppy was coming to me with fleas and at 7 weeks old, I'd refuse it. Poor baby.

Not a permenant solution, but You can use Blue Dawn for a bath. Kills the fleas on the dog. Though won't keep the fleas off him, if there are fleas in the house, or other dogs have fleas.

Did she come from the breeder with fleas or did she pick them up from these other dogs? (Your dogs?)

If she came that way - shame on that breeder. If it is from your other dogs - shouldn't they get treated too?

I would opt to bathe this puppy and pick off any that remain after the bath. If your home/yard are infested - you will need to treat that or she'll just pick them up again right away.
