    DefaultDestruct-O-Dog strikes again!

*sigh* I think I've aged 5 years since I got Kolby in December - it's always something!

Normally I sleep with my door cracked so my cat can come in and out and apparently Kolby decided he would go downstairs at about 1am. Luckily my brother was awake and heard crunching noises downstairs and went to investigate. He took four of the daily pill organizers that we use for the dogs off of the counter and ate almost all of them! He also knocked over the garbage can that we put the recycling in before we take it out and had empty cans and bottles all over the house.

Luckily everything he ate was doggy medicine.. just an entire week's worth. So out came the hydrogen peroxide again and he threw them all up. I waited a while, gave him a little bit of water and waited to see if he'd keep that down.. then went back to bed.

Needless to say, I'm a little tired right now! I still can't believe I didn't wake up when he left my room. *sigh* But Kolby is alright, I just don't understand why he keeps doing these things!

So how old is Kolby? 8 months? If I am right, you could have another year before he can be trusted. Of if he is like Laura's Shaney, maybe never.

We started testing Hershey Kisses around 11 months old. She would be great for about 3 days, then another incident. That earned her a month back in the crate. This continued until she was about 16 months old. She has been free since.

Wow - glad he was ok.

I remember the time Dexter decided to grab a mouthful of poisonous berries off a bush on a trail. I about freaked out because we were miles from anywhere. Lucky, he vomited them back up as I started running toward home with him.

Kolby, my man, you keep those shenanigans up & you are going to earn yourself a trip to the crate. Possibly for an undetermined amount of time.

Oh no!!!!! I have some jumbo cat collar bells, do you want some to put on his collar at night so you can hear him leave? That's the 2nd time your brother has caught him.....whew, give him a big thank you for "telling on Kolby"!

Belle is one of those that, even at nearly 12 years old can not be trusted for even 30 seconds if I am not in the room. Her kids (Kodi and Hoss) were fine at 1 year old. (Although Hoss does still EVER so carefully will take a slipper off my foot if I have fallen asleep on the couch and tear it apart).
