Hershey Kisses never had a 'true' Lab coat. Minimal undercoat and her top coat was smooth shiny dark chocolate.
We have been noticing over the past month that she is shedding much more than she has ever shed before. Now I have noticed her undercoat has increased quite a bit, and her top coat is getting 'coarser' and not as 'soft and smooth'. It is getting more Lab like. Is this a normal change at this age? Is it enough to warrant a visit to the vet? No changes to food or exercise routine.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
I think Libby's did the same, but I'm not sure at what age it happened.
I would not go to the vet for that. Who knows why it's happening - but it's not going to hurt her.
