We went to our local vet on Saturday to have his incision checked. It's definitely healing but a little slower than we expected. The middle (and tightest) part is red and a little more open than the rest of the site. He had a seroma (pocket of fluid) at the top of the incision that was drained and his paw is still pretty swollen. The vet covered it back up, with less padding this time, and wants us to come back on Wednesday. We might leave it uncovered at that point (and then Fitzy will have to be coned 24/7!) depending on how it looks. We'll probably have to delay stitches removal and the first radiation treatment another week or so--which is fine considering I'm going to give birth any day now! We've cut back on the sedative a bit so he's not so sleepy. We're spending a lot of time outside in the backyard with frozen kongs.

Aww poor Fitzy. It doesn't look horrible, but I hope it continues to heal up nicely.

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for much, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
Get better Fitzgerald!
