Holy heck! When Cybil was around there was a small amount of fur deposits on things; the floor where she liked to lay; in her bed. That sort of thing. I think in her entire life span I brushed her twice and that was because I thought "gee, it's been a long time since I brushed her." so I'd do it. On a scale of 1-10 (one being non-shedding and ten being blowing coat constantly) I'd say she was about a 3.

Dozer, on the other hand ... he's a 8 or 9. WOW. I keep pulling little tufts out of his coat. Tonight I decided to brush him and holy heck I got a full sized 6 week old lab puppy worth of hair, and there's still more to go!

    Wow.

    New lab = new experiences.

    Java sheds small puppies also.
    Moka doesn't shed at all.

Ernie sheds small dogs too. Funny thing is when I first got him I was so happy there wasn't a hair to be seen. Now I am lucky if there is a place fur isn't to be found.

One of my all time favorite cartoons. They are always funnier when they are true.

Kolby is the big time shedder - I've gotten at least 2 6-week old Lab pups' worth of hair off of him in the past couple of weeks, but he had his BIG shed a few months ago. Abbey sheds the same 24/7/365

Bauer is a pretty big shedder, but nothing like my parents dog (RIP). Rocky shed constantly, I was always amazed that he wasn't bald. The only place that you could pet him was his ears, otherwise you were covered in hair in a matter of seconds.

I Zoomed Bauer last night until my arm fell off, and there was still fur flying. He kept getting up and chasing the tumble weeds down the drive way .
