    DefaultHow did he know that?

The other day, I was talking to Bruno who was on my lap ready for a nap and I said "Look at me." He turned his head, ears back and looked at my face. I never taught him that. I thought maybe a coincidence and said it again today. He turned and looked at me again. I talk to them all the time, never thinking they understand, but just to let them hear my voice. Now I'm thinking they learn and understand more language than one may think.

    Wow, that's cool!

I wonder if it's the tone he's responding to. I wonder if you said it in different tones, if he'd still understand and do the same thing?

I really truly believe they understand most of what we say.

It's not the destination, it's the journey!

I think they understand a lot of what we say. They are pretty smart little buggers.

We use "look" as a command for Dozer to look at us, so its entirely possible you taught him without even realising it.

I believe they understand way more than most think. I also am a firm believer that they know colors. Our golden would pick out "pink" items all the time. I could buy 20 tennis balls and only have one or two pink ones and she would get the pink ones everytime. They were the only color she would play with. LOL
