Do dogs get them and when do you worry about them. Cinnamon has one on her front upper leg. It is about 1cm in size. It is just the skin as I can move it around and it is not attacked to the muscle underneath. She has had it for about a month and it isn't getting any bigger.
I have got her a vet appointment for tomorrow (yes they are open on Sunday) as she has taken to licking it and got it to bleed once. I know they will want to take it off as I want it off if it is bothering her. I wonder how much that will cost me?

I am not sure if this is the same thing or not but our old lab Shadow had what the vet called a "skin tag" near her eye. It stayed small for over a year but then it did get a little bigger so the vet removed it in the office. he said it was like a wart that people get.
It's probably nothing, but I bet they will want to remove it just to be sure.
I agree I suspect it is like a wart. Part of it dropped off today but we will know at 8AM tomorrow morning as that is when her appointment is.
Karon and Cinnamon
Magnum has had several. I have them removed if she's in for something else.
Does it look like a wart ? HK had one and I took her to the vet this past Thursday. It was a papiloma. A virus thingy, much like a wart. They fall off by this selves in a few weeks usually. In HKs case this time, it fell off when the vet brushed her finger across it.

Henery had a skin tag on the outside of his right lower eyelid and it was there for the longest time, and then one day, it just fell off!!
if I had a dollar for every one that Buddy has, I'd be rich. None have ever fallen off
Seamus had one on his belly. The vet said to leave it alone and it was fine for about a year. Then it started to grow and was really mean looking. The vet finally took it off.
Frankie had one on his front leg, above his elbow. Turned out to be a mast cell tumor. Have it checked!!
