Saturday morning so we head up to the 'big' dog park with the river. Beautiful morning, about +25F. blue sky. It is going to be a nice walk. Hope some of our friends are there.
Pull into the parking area and notice about a dozen peeps and their dogs all over by the closest open field, about 5 acres or the 40 acre total at this park. It is strange because it is rare for anyone in the morning crowd to be there instead of walking the trails and letting the dogs swim/fetch in the river.
We walk by, wave and say hi, and about 50 yards down the trail, WHOA! Where did all that water come from? The river can't be that high. Must be wetland collection of the melt that just hasn't soaked in yet. Turn around to go the other way, actually shorter path to the river. We get maybe 150 yards in that direction and about to enter a wooded area which I know if at least 15 feet above the normal river level. Well, it is usually at least 15 feet above the normal river level, but today is is the river level and flowing pretty good. I guess we know why everyone is over at the open field by the parking lot??
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
Bummer!! Hope your DP returns to normal soon.
