HK went in for her annual today. She was really good. Told her to sit next to me in the waiting area, she did or laid down the whole time. Including when the puppy Springer came over to say hello, sniff, lick, jump on her (in play). She just laid there. The another lady came in with a 'mean' Sharpei? That dog was snarling, growling, pulling at the lady. Then the lady asked me to pull my dog away from the door. HK was laying there and a good 6 feet from the door. I had her get up and move to the other side of me, as I told the lady that maybe she needed to wrk with her dog on obedience and socialization. To which she responded, 'Obviously, you know nothing about this breed.' Duh!
HK got a clean bill of health, lots of treats and complements. Daddy was please with her, so we went off to the mud bowl. I mean, we went off to the dog park.

Good Job HK on behaving and getting a clean bill of health! And good job dad for standing up to the old lady. I really don’t agree with the whole 'its their breed thing'...no, it is their owner that is often the problem...
Great to hear that she is in tip top shape. Some people are so ignorant about their dogs...!
I'm glad HK got a good report. I am always surprised by some of the people I see in the vet's office. Their comments just make me shake my head.
Some people! But, atta girl HK!

Good Girl HK !
Glad HK is doing well, and good for you too! That breed is nasty, snarly, I know, my neighbors have two of them and they attack each other and the fence when I walk by with my dogs, but their owners' don't make excuses for them, they try to train them not to do that, but sometimes they're in the house and don't make it outside in time.
Glad she got a clean bill of health.
