I heard back from the rescue group that I wanted to take the puppies, and they couldn't take them for a while. They are a small local rescue operation....really good, but small.
So I contacted the county pet adoption people, and they said they would have no trouble placing them. So I took them down to animal control so they could get their shots, and they'll go to the adoption group probably Monday.
I would have like to have kept them at least a few more days to see if the rescue group had something open up, but hubby wasn't in step with it. The disruption was a bit more than he could handle. So I went ahead and took them down there.
I kind of hated to see them go. I had gotten attached to the little rascals, and they had really gotten attached to me. I'm just glad the low life who dumped them put them here instead of out on some deserted road somewhere. Because now, it won't be long and they'll have some great forever homes. It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted, but it turned out okay.
Well thanks to you they now have a chance.
You've done all you can - more than a lot of other people would! Those pups knew the right home to find!
I hope they'll get adopted soon to very loving homes.
I'm still cursing the SOB that would throw them out like that.
It's just really hard to get into any rescue right now. I don't know what it's like in your area, but in many places I understand that people are losing their homes left and right and having to give up their dogs, packing the shelters and rescues to above capacity.
You did great to get them in anywhere at all. And I can just imagine if I brought in three puppies...Kevin would NOT be a happy camper.
Don't worry! They will get them adopted - they're all very cute and young!
You did good.
Good job, Nancy. I am glad you shared their story with us.
You did well by those pups. They were lucky that they found you, and that you found them a good place to set their future in gear.

You gave them a wonderful shot at life. Thank you for caring.

Sad that they are gone, but you did what you could (which is more than a lot of people would do!!!) and they will be on their way to their new forever homes!!
Sad to see them go, but you did the absolute best thing for them.
Courtney, Bogey and Calli
You did the best. They will get great forever homes in no time!
