We can leave him on 2 grains of pheno a day. One in the AM, one in the PM. His seizure activity over the past 5 years has been 1 event about every 2 months. Every year he has a fluke period where he will go about 4 months demon-free, but that just seems to be his pattern.
Better news? His thyroid is normal. On the low end, but in the normal range. At least I can rule out abnormal thyroid as a contributor to the seizure activity. With an epi-dog anything pathological you can rule out is a HUGE BONUS!
In the spring, if I can afford it, if I can cajole an OSU or OU Vet College person to cut me a deal on the price, and if I feel daring enough to make the road trip with Flynn, I might just have a brain scan on him. I'll bet even in his "normal" periods his brain activity is like a tsunami! I really would be interested in seeing that test result.
Anyway... all raise your tankards to Our Man Flynn!
