We are going to be headed to Florida and I'm looking for information on dog friendly beaches for my labbie girl. Interested in those on both coasts and anywhere else.
Check out DogFriendly.com - you can search by location and they tell which hotels, beaches, parks, etc that are dog friendly
If you're planning on going into Florida on I-95 through Jacksonville, you might want to stop at St. Simons Island. It's actually off the Georgia coast, part of the Golden Isles, just before you get to Florida.
We just got back from a week there with a great dog-friendly beach.
I live in South FL on the east coast - there aren't too many dog friendly beaches down my way. I think there is one up in Jupiter. However, in August, we vacationed in Sanibel Island, on the west coast of Florida. It is dog friendly - fantastic. Ellie had a great time and she actually went swimming - love it! First time we could ever get her to go swimming! Sanibel is very relaxing but there isn't much to do there except the beach. This is just what we were looking for, but may not be your cup of tea if you are into the night life, etc.

My brother and family go with their lab every year. I recommended it to someone here last year and they LOVED it.
It's all about the dogs!
“If I know every single phone call you’ve made, I’m able to determine every single person you’ve talked to; I can get a pattern about your life that is very, very intrusive. And the real question here, is what do they do with this information that they collect – that does not have anything to do with al-Qaeda? And we’re gonna trust the president and the vice president that they’re doing the right thing? Don’t count me in on that.”
