We are bringing home our creamy yellow female pup about the 3rd week in June when she is eight weeks. She is a bench/show type labrador. We are all very excited and despite the weeks of research I've been doing, still have lots of questions ( which I will be posting!).
My husband and I had dogs growing up, but this is our first family pet and also first experience with a lab. As kids/teenagers, I had a smaller female german shepherd and my husband had a large male springer spaniel. We have four children between ages 7-13! I think this will be a good age for us to introduce a new member of the family!
Welcome from WI; great to have you on the board.
Congrats on your new soon-to-be little one! Keep us posted with updates & pics until she comes home. Any names picked out yet?
I bet you can't wait to bring her home!!

Well, between 6 of us there are A LOT of opinions. Since she will be such a light creamy yellow, we were thinking maybe "Honey". I love "Sophie", but my husband is not convinced! We still have time to sort it out.
Thanks for the welcome. I will post photos as soon as we pick her out at 6 weeks! We are soooo excited!
Welcome to JL and Congratulations on your new puppy!
Welcome. I like the name Sophie. You are going to have so much fun. We have a 16 mth old boy named Jeb.
