By the Fall, our family should be fostering a "brood" (female - 18-24 months) from our local Guiding Eyes for the Blind center. We've been hoping to have a lab join our family for a while, and are very excited. I can't think of a better reason to take care of and love a dog. I'm here - pre-dog - to learn more about labs, and get ready!
Congrats! I volunteered at a Guiding Eye's place a few years back when I lived elsewhere. I socialized with the pups at a very young age and then took some very basic notes on their temperament. You know, frendly, mouth, timid, aggressive, etc.
I got to play with puppies for 2 hours after work one day a week, how could you beat it.
