I am a long time dog lover who has had a Lab Shepard mix in the past, but in the last year I adopted my first pure lab. Her name is Peanut and she makes me very happy. She is very sweet and loves to snuggle.
She is one of the smallest Labs I have ever met. She is about three and is very much a typical Lab in temperament. Very insistent on wanting to play ball. We live with our friends Keri and Carolann who both have dogs. A male Hanoverian Hound mix named Seamus, and a female American Eskimo Dog named Morgan. Carolann originally got Peanut as a companion for her then husband but they did not bond. She is oriented towards males and really needed to be with a guy so when we moved in to share Carolann's house she asked if I would be interested in adopting Peanut. We live in Oregon in the Willamette Valley. I am disabled and live on Social Security. Before becoming disabled sixteen years ago I worked in the security business. I love just about all dogs, but have always wanted to own a Labrador Retriever. I hope I will enjoy being a part of this community.
