DefaultNew Lab Owner in Cypress TX (thought I'd do it right this time)

My name is Heather, I'm 29 and live in Cypress, TX (a mile or so outside of Houston) with my adorable chocolate lab, Brody, who is 9 months old.

Brody was added to the family in June of 06' when my sister's pup had a litter of 19. Woah, Lordy! When he ran right to me, what was I supposed to do, tell him no? I don't think so!

Needless to say, even with my crazy schedule, working 7-4 for an international communications firm and working evenings/weekends as a social and upscale event planner, I still manage to put Brody as the top priority and he manages to keep me in line.

    *waves*

Thanks for everyone's excellent tips, advice and constructive criticism, it has proven invaluable!

Glad to hear everything is going great with you! He's adorable. I'm also in Houston and wrote to you before.

I have a small favor to ask - could you please please please try to talk your sister into spaying or neutering her dog if he/she isn't already spayed/neutered? I had to look at a list today of 50 labs in the Houston area shelters that are on the euthanization list this week. If your sister needs recommendations for low cost/no cost spay/neuter places, there is a great referral list on the Houston SPCA's website of places that will spay/neuter for anywhere from free to $60. Go to www.spcahouston.org - on the left side there is a link for "spay neuter clinic" and click on the referral list.

    I'm off my soapbox now.

Thanks for the input but she already had her female spayed, a few months after the last litter. No mas puppies there.
