The breeder was my sister and she offered me my choice of the litter as a birthday present. Is that an inappropriate age?

Normally the age is between 7 1/2 to 8 wks. I dont know about TX but in maryland it is a law that the pup has to be 8 wks. They really shouldn't leave their mother before 7 wks. but regardless you have a beautiful boy.
