    DefaultHello!

Hi, I'm new and I've got a very FAT labrador, his name is Graham and I've also got a coonhound called Judge and a Greyhound called Silver, How do you make a lab loose weight, when they're soo cute!?

    Hello and Welcome!!! ;D

You may want to post about your lab's weight in Health And Nutrition...

I believe you make them lose weight the same way you would yourself. Check to make sure there isn't anything wrong with them healthwise... then it's up the exercise and maybe cut back on the food. You can feed your lab low calorie things like green beans with the lessened meal to make them feel more full.

    Good luck and welcome again!

    Hi Welcome.

Ernie - my black lab has hip problems and needed to loose weight. I cut his in between nibbles out, excersised more, then cut his food back a bit. I feed a low calories diet. He was looking great until I started letting him have treats again. I also watch what is in the treats. Some are so fattening.

    Welcome!

I just wanted to add that using low cal treats such as carrot pieces, and supplementing a bit of their food with unsalted green beans should help one your lab gets a clean bill of health.
