DefaultHi I am new to this site

I am new to this site .. And I have had the pleasure of raising the most wonderful dog in the world my Sam was the smartest dog in the world he knew and did everything that said or asked do. I am not kidding he was great. He was about five years old... when he born he had BLUE EYES and they changed to a amber color. But I could not remember when it happened
But they where beautiful. Any way I resently got a new boy baby he is as big as my sam was at the same age 17 lb.s at 8 weeks ... He is the same color my sam was. He has blue eyes the first week and a half but now they are changing. And I hope with all my heart that they change to the amber color of my Sam s...
I was wondering if any one else could send me pictures of there puppies with the blue.green eyes when a baby dog and what they changed to as a bigger dog....

CHocolates and yellows that carry the chocolate gene often have blue/green eyes as puppies and they will change to a sort of amber when they mature. Every dog's "shade" is different.

Puppy's eye color is not final. I believe it still changes up to 3 months.

This applies to the coat color as well.

Milo's eyes were black when he was a small puppy but have gotten a little lighter now that he's 8 months. They're not amber though, still black.
