Hi everyone. I had an unplanned fur baby so I'm joining here because I know NOTHING about labs or large dogs for that matter. I've had 6-9 month old Louie, lab/shepard we think, for three days now. He was a stray and chose me in a parking lot. We're learning together and he's doing great so far - just a giant teddy bear and mostly healthy. Looking forward to discussion on nutrition (immediate need, he's emaciated) and formal training (near future).
Well hi and thanks for the support y'all. Sheesh, back to the Boston terrier board who was kind enough to give input on our weight problems enough to help add 10 pounds to my sweet boy.
Hi. there is so much to learn from this forum, you will enjoy it. Glad that he's put on some weight. Keep sharing experiences, we are here to learn from each other.
This board isn't very active.
"we are here to learn from each other"
sounds good but........
I've seen way too many join up because they have a problem or question, and that's fine, when they get some answers/replies to their question.... they leave.
I've even tried to reach out to some and got no reply.
no desire to help the next person I guess.
see yellowbelly"s post.
