    DefaultNew pup pup

New to the forum We have a new yellow lab puppy and was happy to find a place for lab owners. Our miss Dina is about to turn 10 weeks old and we have had her for about a week and a half. She now knows her name and comes to command.

We did lose our Lab mix Molly a little over one month ago and we just couldn't stand not having a dog at home. We fought a two year battle of bad health after a neighbor actually shot molly with a high power varmit pellet gun. Our dog bolted while playing with family and she came home less than 10 minutes later by voice command wounded. She nearly died the day of the injury but due to quick resuscitation lived but was never the same.

With no replies I do worry about my introduction. We did put a lot of thought into which puppy and breeder to buy from before we lost Molly. We did not buy a new puppy on a whim. We also had gone through proper lengths to keep molly contained with a wifi fence but found a faulty battery in her collar after she had bolted during play. Fencing in the state of Maine is rather hard to do due to frost heaving. We are loving responsible dog owners.

Hi Becky. Posts usually take several weeks to show up here because they have to be approved first. I wouldn't worry too much, you'll get replies.

    Thank you very much.
Very happy to find this forum.. I am very interested in talking with others about raising a happy healthy puppy. Most of our dogs have been older rescue dogs.
