We finally picked up our puppy from the breeder last Friday. The breeder gave her the first 8 weeks vaccinations before we departed home. She vomited on the way home and we thought she probably got car sick. After arrived home, she looked so tired and weak and slept a lot. She woke up and played little but started getting the soft stools. We fed her the food from the breeder and she thrown up and had diarrhea after she ate. We took her outside the backyard in the evening and she didn't feel like to play. She kept laying down on the ground and slept. She had 4 diarrhea and 2 vomiting through the day. We phoned the breeder for suggestions and the breeder told us to bring her back if we were concern her situation. We decided to bring her back around 8pm to the breeder. The breeder called after few hours with the video showing she was playing and fine??? The breeder decided to keep her for a week and monitor her diarrhea and vomiting. She is doing fine according to the breeder the whole week. We are picking her up tomorrow. My questions are is that due to the vaccines or the stress from the new home? Hope to get some help from all your experienced lab owners..
Thank you so much in advance.
Could have been a reaction to the vaccine. I try to have mine done 5-7 days before puppies leave since there are so many other stressors w/ changing homes (water supply, schedule, environment etc). It's good they are keeping her for a week.

As a breeder, I would never give a shot and then send the pup home the same day. You absolutely have to wait a few days to see if there is a reaction and save the new family from dealing with that. The pup is most likely fine.
