This is my first post on the board so I figured I would say "Hi" to everyone ;D.
I am in the process of looking for a chocolate lab puppy to replace my 11 year old chocolate lab "Nuno" which I lost January 27, 2006 to kidney failure. I want to do research to make my second lab even more enjoyable than he was (socializing with other people and dogs, "improved" obedience, etc.).
Welcome to the board and major kudos for you that you are researching before hand!!! This board has a huge wealth of knowledgable people so ask away. Of course we will start whining and moaning and stamping our feet for pictures when you do get your new family member. ;D
Welcome ;D and I'm so sorry for your loss Hope you find you new baby soon and enjoy him/her
sorry to hear about your baby crossing over. Have you thought about rescues as an option? I just like to remind people who are looking that there are a bunch of pups and older dogs that are waiting for happy homes. Please post pics once your new addition has arrived!!!!
Welcome to the forum!!!
Sorry to hear about Nuno. I hope you find a new baby soon!!! Don't forget to show us pictures!!!
Thanks for the warm welcome 8). I have thought about a rescue but I really want to start fresh with a puppy. If I ever get out of a neighborhood (and have more room for more dogs), I will have at least three labs (a yellow, black, and chocolate).
Having to make the call to put a dog to sleep was the hardest decision I have ever made (but was also "easier" because I refused to see my dog suffer). He was in the final stages of kidney failure before the signs started (guess he was a tuff one).
Thanks again and let the search begin!!
