I adopted this adorable little yellow lab. She's roughly 11 weeks old, full of energy, and refuses to potty train.. but she's still my girl. (:
And I don't know why the thumbnail is sideways, it was saved straight.
hello and welcome
what do you mean by "refuses to potty train"? How are you trying to train her? She is still a baby, at that age it's more about YOU being on the ball than the puppy remembering to ask to go out
Are you crate training?
Haave a look at this thread, there is TONS Of advice in each post, there are a few on house training:
By "refuses" I mean we go out every hour to hour and a half and she still prefers the floor lol. Hopefully she will catch on eventually.
That's another thing we are working on, but she's very vocal.
It'll just take time.
do you reward big time when she goes outside?
Do you let her have free roam when you come back in when she hasn't gone (and you know she needs to). She may need to go more often than every hour at some points during the day.
Praise him whenever he does something good. He will associate the two.
I told my lab to "hike" when ever he went and now he knows hike means go potty
